The driver waved to me with a gentle smile, seemingly saying: “Go buddy! You first!”       a polite battle, I gave in and walked onto the crossing first.
This took place nearly six months ago, but the scene still comes back to my mind      . Good road-crossing manners between driver and pedestrian(行人. mean     , fewer accidents and most importantly, respect between people. I really hope that more Chinese people will realize this and make crossing the street      for all the people.
