Stage 1 Getting students ready for learning
Step1 Greet students and let students sing the song —Happy Birthday together.
Step2 Pair work. Answer the question:
T: Can you sing English songs?
S: Yes, I can.
T: Could you sing English songs in the past?
S: No, I couldn’t.
T: Could you sing an English song for us?
S: Yes.
Step 3 Show time. Get the students to practice the sentences:

Step 4 Pair work. Let students make their own conversations in pairs, then choose some pairs to read them.

Step1 Give students some time and read the conversation by themselves. And complete it.
Step2 Check their answers.
